Nowadays, it seems like there are more restaurants selling burgers than there are any other food staples. They are flexible like that and without a doubt, they make meal time not only convenient but also satisfying.

Familiarity is another factor that sociologist point out as a main cause for people’s affinity to burger meals. Eating them is like a tradition that is passed on from one generation to another. And as the years go, they gain more patronage. Eating burgers have also been associated by media, manufacturers and family units with social functions such as barbecues and birthday parties. And as such, has become ingrained in a person’s mind as something staple when it comes to low-key communal celebrations. It can even be a source of comfort and homeliness.

Finally, it doesn’t hurt that burgers taste great and are also one of the easiest fares to experiment with. You can have them as beef, chicken, turkey, veal, and vegan. And you can mix it with different dressings (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard) and toppings (onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, relish, bacon and mushrooms, to name a few), to explore flavor options.
